Application of Insulating Glass Raw Materials

IG units are windows made from two or more lites of glass separated by a sealed air space. The Aluminum spacer bar with butyl sealant around the perimeter of the insulated unit that separates the two lites of glass is necessary to keep glass sealed, water-proof and noise-proof. This spacer comes in thicknesses of 6-32mm. It is filled with a special moisture-absorbing material, that is molecular sieve desiccant. The perimeter of the entire unit is sealed with a high-grade sealant of two component sealant or hot melt sealant.
IG units are widely used in window glass and curtain wall glass.
